ABOUT ME
Personal Trainer. Coach. Educator.
WHO I AM
Welcome. I’m Carolyn Rockwell.
I’m a personal trainer who believes coaching only works when it considers the whole person. Strength, mobility, nutrition, stress, recovery, hormones, and daily life all matter. Real progress comes from understanding how these pieces work together.
I bring both expertise and care to my coaching. My goal is to help you build your capability, knowledge, and long-term health. For the past 17 years, I’ve worked with real people with real lives. Each client has their own goals, limitations, and responsibilities, and it’s my job to recognise those and guide you on a path that actually works.
My approach is grounded in both science and lived experience. I hold degrees in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine, and I spent years in education, internships, and hands-on environments before ever taking on clients. Working with hundreds of clients over thousands of sessions is what taught me how to connect knowledge with action and turn principles into something usable.
I don’t believe in template fitness. Every body moves and adapts differently, and training should reflect that. That includes preventing injuries, supporting rehabilitation, understanding recovery and building strength, fitness, and confidence along the way.
I pay attention to the things that often get overlooked: how you move, how you recover, what your stress looks like, and what your daily life demands from you. Working with people has taught me that great coaching isn’t about intensity or volume, it’s about first taking in the whole picture, then priortising, then implementing successful steps in a sustainable fashion.
WHAT shapes ME
I’m someone who seeks out challenge, perspective, and the edges of my own capability.
Movement has always been my way of understanding the world. I gravitate toward anything that gets me outside, whether it’s hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, paddleboarding, surfing, or exploring a new track. Pushing my body in different ways keeps me curious, and I like the process of learning new skills as much as the physical challenge itself.
I also value the quieter side of life.
A good book, a great meal, time with friends, or a slow morning with coffee matter just as much as the bigger adventures. I believe in a life that includes both meaningful movement and meaningful stillness.
Life isn’t meant to be lived on the sidelines. It’s about saying yes to new experiences, pushing past what you thought was possible, and discovering the strength that carries you forward. Every new challenge is a chance to grow, connect, and truly live.
